Delivery Timeframe

4 week turn around

The Process...

  • As a new business with its first ever website the client brief included using a platform which could grow and shift as their business did; for this reason, we chose WordPress.
  • A simple one-page design concept was used to make it easy for the users to go from one page to another.
  • The services buttons were designed to drive the clients to the services page to get an overview and prompt an increase in quote requests.

The Stats

  • The project was completed during COVID lockdowns during 2020 over a 3-week period.
  • Total hours spent 90 hours
  • Final product 3-page website with multiple subsections

The struggle...

  • Some of the accent colors requested by the client didn’t suite, as they had already had a logo created and they were off brand and clashed.  We were able to find suggest a compromise which worked in linking the site to the logo.
  • The business growth also meant that soon after the initial site was developed that a change was required to support both the commercial and residential services they provide.
  • As with a lot of new businesses having photographs for the site was initially difficult, also there was not the provision for a photographer to be engaged for various reasons including Covid restrictions. As the client's business increased, they built their before and after photos, which they also used for build a social media presence.

The wins

  • The quote request went from 2 or 3 a month, to over fifty.
  • Even with the accent colour requested not suiting the logo we soon found a suitable to compliment both the website and the owners
  • Many of the photograph feature the business owners, which highlighted the family nature of the business but also brought it to life.
  • The face of the family in the home page not only attracted friends and family but also other clients in the area, this proved to be a good marketing move
  • The homepage buttons allowed simple and effective navigation between both the residential and commercial services for potential clients.
  • Stock pictures were used but the family has few old pictures that helped to bring a personalise feel to the website
